Mt Evans - Chicago Lake Hike

As usual, we never prepare - so for our first hike of the year why not try an 8-mile with steep inclines and switchbacks? Clearly a good choice. Then, follow it up with some hail/snow storms and we're set :)

Echo Lake

At the entrance of the park

Hiking on the ledge - insane!

Chicago Creek

We've got a long way to go!

Entrance to the next part of our journey, time to cool off!

Idaho Springs Reservoir

Snazzy Beau

You can see the fishies - that's how clear it is!

Through the burned down area - that oddly still has all the burnt trees surrounded by new flowers - cool sight.

Finally made it to Chicago Lake!

Cool finds!

Thristy?

Pre-pull tab cans!

The pics can't even show how amazing these views were!

Sweet socks and Flying Dog poncho!
