You can go a week without seeing a cop in Denver. For the DNC there were at least 2 at every corner, with large guns, zip ties and canes - it was very odd to see. Especially when they'd travel - they had risers on the side of vans and would hang 4 to each side of the vans as they drove through the streets.

Mt Evans - Chicago Lake Hike

As usual, we never prepare - so for our first hike of the year why not try an 8-mile with steep inclines and switchbacks? Clearly a good choice. Then, follow it up with some hail/snow storms and we're set :)
