Happy Birthday to Us!

After a VERY interesting drive (ask Beau...), we celebrated both my and Joe's 27th birthdays with some awesome skiing/riding at Winter Park. We also finished the night at a "hardcore local" bar and had the closest to "Chicago-style" pizza we've had since we moved here. Unfortunately, as we left, we realized it was a Packers bar and were very, very dissapointed in ourselves.

Dinosaur Ridge

Today we checked out Dinosaur Ridge (right by Red Rocks Amphitheatre), which has fossils and footprints from "when herds of dinosaurs roamed along the edge of an ancient seaway and moisture-loving plants grew in the swampy environments before the Rocky Mountains formed". It was pretty cool and another gorgeous day!

Some footprints.

Cool redrocks.

This is a dinosaur bone and we touched it.

Cutest Baby Ever

Check out the eyes and sweet NKOTB t-shirt Taylor is wearing!! Someone really cool must have bought that for her :)

Some more great weather & friends!

Katie, Russ, Grant and Julie visited last weekend. Unfortunately, not all of us made it to Winter Park - Katie and Russ accidentally missed the exit and ended up at Copper! But, at least we all got to enjoy the beautiful ski day!!Me, Beau, Grant & Julie at Winter Park. Beau got thirsty at Mary Jane.
Check out that view!

Back in Denver 1/3-1/8

It's been 60*-70* in Denver so we've been playing some Bocce and hanging out on the local bar's rooftop (Beau starts his new job Monday, so we're trying to relax before he re-enters the "real world"). With those temps here, it's like 50* in the mountains! The most insane feeling to be skiing through the snow and be sweating because the sun and temp are so warm. People were in just long sleeve t-shirts. It was great! Here are some pics from Copper Mountain:

New Years in Chicago

Our parents were so upset we were leaving they actually offered to pay for our flight changes...an offer we couldn't refuse! So, we got to spend an awesome New Years Eve in Chi-Town with our friends!Besties

Our group at Tango Sur with Chicago Bull Andres Nocioni!

After dinner, on to Russ' for some dancin'!

Proof Russ was awake while we were there :)

More time with friends...

After our weekend at Winter Park we headed to Denver, where 11 people (9 boys) stayed in our 1-"bedroom" loft with no doors! The sounds and smells that were produced can never be spoken of again...
Michael Vick is still shaking in his boots after this Bears domination. We rented the theater room in our building and with Staj's screams scaring away the other tenants we plan on never having any friends in Denver!
The group at the Whiskey Bar for a 70+ person poker tournament (my man took 3rd). Skura and I kicked the boys' butts in Gender Bender while they harrassed the poor bartenders!
Old Dan sleeping at the bar!
A nice pic of the boys (Old Dan is still asleep!)
As usual, a drunken wrestling match ensued when we returned to our apartment!

Winter Park Weekend!

Pictures from our December trip to Winter Park...see, we actually do have friends...if only they lived in Colorado!
Feineis and Kern preparing for the mountain.

The group (although it may not look like it, we actually are "with" the group).

Staj making out with a tree.

Kolka "rippin' and grippin' it" on his SECOND day of boarding!

The mean game of Moosehead that finished a bottle of Jager and put many to bed very, very early...
