Bright Lights, Big City

We spent yesterday downtown seeing sights andtrying not to spend any money. We thought we'd share some pics because it was such a beautiful day! The first pic is of Larimer Square (probably most like Rush/Division, but WAY smaller area) which they have beautifully decorated and have carolers and such. In case you can't see, people were eating outside it was so warm! http://www.larimersquare.com/

The second pic is on 16th Street which is a pedestrian mall, so no cars but horse drawn carriages, and also completely lit up for the holidays. This is probably like a miniature Mag Mile minus half a million people!

Snow in the City

We finally got some snow downtown! These pics are the view from our bedroom window; the first is a usual day and the second is after the snow (notice: no mountains!) Of course, the next day was one of the beautiful 300 sunny days CO gets each year; the snow was gone by the afternoon! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DELCHA!

Trey @ The Fillmore

With the White Sox World Series win and the Bears 7 game winning streak, we are going to "take one for our team(s)" - literally - and never move home. See ya.

Still enjoying our unemployment this weekend: after another great day of skiing Saturday we headed home with the purpose of not spending any money until we have jobs. Instead...we drove past The Fillmore (which is a little like the Aragon but smaller) and bought tickets to the Trey show.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Although we miss our friends and family VERY much - we had a great and delicious Thanksgiving dinner with our Colorado family - Joe and Whit. We enjoyed turkey and all the trimmings with the windows OPEN as it was a beautiful 58*...very different than our usual, snowy, Illinois dinner!

Save the Tatonka!

Here are some pics of the elusive buffalo living approx. 15 miles from our apartment. KMM

Colorado Bound - April 2005

It was this interesting night, after discovering a goat and some mean games of Connect Four, that we decided to move to Colorado!
